#EMMY2016 'Game Of Thrones' é o grande destaque da premiação.

A Academia de Artes & Ciências Televisivas apresentou e anunciou os ganhadores do 68º Emmy Awards, uma das principais premiações da TV estadunidense, a cerimônia foi realizada no Microsoft Theater, em Los Angeles, nos Estados Unidos e teve como anfitrião esse ano o excelente e já premiado apresentador Jimmy Kimmel.

Esse ano como se de costume na premiação houveram  poucas ''surpresas'' e muitas ''certezas''. 'Game of Thrones' e 'The People vs. O.J. Simpson (American Crime Story)' foram os grandes destaques da noite e levaram o reconhecimento de fenômenos, sendo o aclamado Game of Thrones o recordista até então, com 38 troféus acumulados, sem dúvidas, uma série recordista e privilegiada e o até então estreante The people vs. O. J. Simpson, um fenômeno televisivo produzido pelo Ryan Murphy, que mostra os acontecimentos do polêmico julgamento de um ex-jogador de futebol americano O.J. Simpson acusado de matar a ex-mulher e interpretado pelo então indicado Cuba Gooding Jr, além do êxito de receber 22 indicações e contabilizar vitórias em cinco categorias. 

A HBO além de emplacar o principal drama épico também saiu vitorioso na categoria ''comédia'' com a série Veep, nenhuma novidade até então, já que a Julia Louis-Dreyfus faz um excelente trabalho e já tem acumulado cinco Emmy's consecutivos pelo papel de Selina Mayer, consagrando-se assim a melhor série do gênero.

Jimmy Kimmel não decepcionou em sua apresentação, sua segunda vez comandando a cerimônia, fez piadas com o Jeffrey Tambor o tempo inteiro, comentou sobre a falta da Maggie Smith (Se você não compareceu, não vai receber o prêmio) e ainda foi zoado pelo amigo Matt Damon. O melhor de tudo foi quando o Gaten Matarazzo, a Millie Bobby Brown e o Caleb McLaughlin, atores da série Stranger Things, mesmo sem nenhuma indicação, infelizmente, roubaram a noite desde o tapete vermelho até o aparecimento surpresa caracterizados de seus personagens para entregar sanduíches para os espectadores do evento. 

O Emmy Award 2016,  consagrou Game of Trones como a melhor série de Drama, batendo recordes e mais recordes, deu oportunidade  e reconhecimento aos novatos  Rami Malek (Mr. Robot) e Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black) e ainda persiste em por Modern Family como indicado a melhor série de comédia, fora Veep levar todas no quesito.  E afinal, não seria Emmy sem a dupla Amy Poehler e Tina Fey que venceram na sub-categoria ''Melhor Atriz Convidada em Série de Comédia'' sendo assim a primeira dupla a ser premiada pela academia, como se as duas fossem apenas uma, ou tanto faz.
